My journey to Heaven began 7 years ago. I slipped on a wet manhole cover while walking down a steep street in the Hollywood Hills. This accident resulted in a shattered ankle and the need for an operation. My new Orthopedic Surgeon scheduled my surgery for two days later. I was terrified because I knew that my fiancé Richard’s beloved daddy had gone to the hospital forty years previously for a routine procedure and never came home.
I am a Christian. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior through the gift of the Holy Ghost, and I believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of our Heavenly Father. I got down on my knees the night before my scheduled operation and began to pray. I asked my Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus to watch over me. I prayed that my Richard would not have to live through the experience twice of watching a loved one go into the hospital for a procedure and never come home. This prayer led me to the reasoning that since Richard’s daddy was up there with God, I might as well ask him to put in a few prayers for me, as well.
The next day, during my surgery, I woke up. I saw the most unbelievable white light; it was brilliant beyond description. In this majestic light was the figure of a man. At that moment, I decided I must have died, and I was seeing God. I must have spoken these thoughts out loud because the man smiled at me, held out his hand, and introduced himself as Kilmer Oscar Jr., Richard’s Daddy. Kilmer Jr. shared with me that I had opened the door the night before when I prayed. Kilmer Jr. shared with me secrets that only he and his precious son, Richard, would know. Kilmer Jr. asked me to share these memories with his son so that Richard would understand that I had, indeed, seen his dad. Kilmer Jr. wanted his son to know that he has never left Richard’s side, and he never will.
I have continued to experience dreams of Heaven throughout the past 7 years. One year ago, I felt a calling from our Heavenly Father to share my story. I felt a calling to write a book. I prayed on this calling over night, got up the next morning and grabbed my computer, and I wrote my first book.
Today and every day I pray that you find the same peace in your mind and in your heart that I have found. I pray you may find joy in knowing your love ones are still with you and that your paths will forever remain as one. I pray that you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior through the gift of the Holy Ghost. I will have met my goal in writing this book when God answers these prayers.
Please, take my hand. I am so excited to share this gift with you.
